It is located in the eastern part of the island. The volcanic eruption in 2000 forced all residents to evacuate the island, and regular flights ceased, but resumed in 2008. Currently, the island is connected to Chofu Airfield by a small airplane.

The harbor is located in the eastern part of the island. The rock in the middle of the quay is a preserved Klamane, a reef that originally existed. It is connected to the sea and you may be able to see fish swimming.

This port is located in the northwestern part of the island. It complements the Port of Miike and the Port of Sakigahama (Ako). It also serves as a port for evacuation from the island in the event of a volcanic eruption.
